It's a Blu-ray Day!

Many folks are still operating on traditional DVD players, but the calls of the pretty-as-a-high-definition-picture Blu-ray discs are becoming harder to resist. If you’re thinking about upgrading to a Blu-ray DVD player for your home or media room, here’s some tips from Tha Media Room to consider.

One key thing to keep in mind as your Blu-ray player’s ability to connect to the Internet. While this might not seem like a very important feature, it enables you to stream Netflix, Pandora, YouTube and other online applications directly to your TV.

If you really want to stay on the cutting edge, a 3D Blu-ray player might also be a good option. There are currently a smaller amount of 3D Blu-ray players available then there are regular 2D Blu-rays, but with the growing popularity in 3D movies, this could pay off in the future! Remember that 3D Blu-ray DVD players are backwards compatible, meaning they can still play regular DVDS as well.

Lastly, you’ll want to be sure you have the best setup of connections on the back of your TV or receiver with which to hook up your Blu-ray player. Sound too technical to sort through? Tha Media Room can work out all the tech babble for you and recommend the best Blu-ray player for your setup. Call us or visit us today and we’ll get you plugged in!
