Themes and Schemes - Part 1

When setting out to create a customized media room, one of the key things to consider is your overall theme. This will set the tone for everything you intend to incorporate into the space, especially your furniture and seating. Not only will you take the size of the room into account, but also what activities you plan to concentrate on (family media viewing, sports, entertaining, etc.). This affects the type of layout you want to achieve—perhaps one that’s easily maneuverable or one that features stadium-like theater seats. It’s all about personalization and Tha Media Room is here to walk you through several theme ideas to get the creative juices flowing!

Sports
Teams out there are a dime or dozen, and make great themes for media spaces! Whether it’s your alma mater or your die-hard NFL or NBA team, you can make it as elaborate or simple as you wish! It’s all in the details.

Rustic or Country
Not every media room has to be slick and contemporary. If this is your home’s design aesthetic, then go for it! And no, it doesn’t mean you have to watch old Westerns all day.

Stay tuned for Part 2....
